Seeing as the term "Mark 2" has held since the origional discussion about it's new features long ago, am I to understand this is being used for it's official name now? If so, it's pretty cool that a term I threw in about a new player really stuck. Back then, no name had come out except the Mark 2 I stuck in the subject. And it seemed people caught on, and Rob referenced the origional player as "Mark 1".

The official name for the product is "empeg car" or "empeg car player". We will only refer to Mark 2 where is is necessary to distinguish from the Mark 1, and even then "the new empeg car player" will be preferable.

Amongst existing clients I'm sure it'll continue to be referred to as Mark 2, though.

I suddenly have this almost uncontrolable urge to replace the Empeg startup screen with "Don't Panic". Of course I have to get one first.

Huh, this could explain the new voice recognition. Someone at Empeg has figured out how to implement a babelfish in hardware. It is simply translating english to C code.
